If you are leaving the USA this is a good opportunity to sell all the houseware and stuff that you won't need anymore.

You can bring pictures of furniture, cars, motorcycles, boats, etc, too.

Are you a newcomer? Come and buy things that you need for less price!

The event will take place on the 30th of May, from 9.30am to 2.00pm and the venue will be chosen depending on the attendance of the people interested in selling their goods.

The Club "Bon Appetit" proudly presents its new cookbook!

You will find all recipes we have been cooking, trying and enjoying during the last year. Don't miss the chance of improving your cooking skills and getting to know new recipes for any occasion from all over the world.
The cookbooks will be available on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Bon Appetit Pot Luck.

You can order as many as you want! We just have to know it before June 1, 2012 to print the right amount. All the proceeds go to SOPC charities! The price of one book will just be $10!

SOPC Summer Party 2012

Join our Summer Party 2012

Dress in your retro look and come to the best and funniest Summer Party of Virginia Beach!!

It will take place at Norfolk Yacht Country Club on June 1st from 7pm to 11pm.

The price is $40 for SOPC members and spouses and $45 for guests. Your friends can also attend.

The price includes : a delicious dinner with wine on the table, two tickets for extra drinks and raffle tickets.

Warbirds over the beach!

"Warbirds over the beach" at Military Aviation Museum.

Rides will be provided by Texan Flight, LLC in their 1943 Navy SNJ-5 “Texan”. Rides include 20 minutes of airborne time, sight seeing, aerobatics, and a little “stick time” for the passenger. Price is $299 per ride plus tax. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Military Aviation Museum.

THE VIRGINIA BEACH BOARD-WALK ART SHOW

WANTED - VOLUNTEERS FOR THE VIRGINIA BEACH BOARD-WALK ART SHOW!

The 57th Annual Board-Walk Art Show, hosted by the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art is a four day show that is expected to draw 300 artists and up to 200,000 visitors. It is a Virginia Beach institution and this year runs between Thursday 14th – Sunday 17th June. We need your help!

Volunteers are required to help run seven "Hydration-Stations" to be dotted along the Board-Walk amongst some 300 artist show tents. The show is open between 1000 – 1800 hrs Thursday to Saturday and 1000 to 1700hrs Sunday. The stations will be sponsored by Pepsi and will sell sodas and water to the thirsty public.

Two volunteers are required per station and volunteers can opt for half-a-day (10 'til 2) or all day if you can spare the time.

Free Park Admission for Military

"Active-duty military personnel and their dependents will soon be able to enter every national park for free as part of an effort to thank service members and their families for the sacrifices they make, the Interior Department announced Tuesday.

An annual pass will be made available to members of the military free of charge beginning Saturday, which is Armed Forces Day. The America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Annual Pass ordinarily costs $80. It provides access to more than 2,000 national parks, wildlife refuges and other public land..."
